Well its the day before the wedding and at Barringtons wedding car hire i’m getting some of our wedding cars ready. The wedding is at Leasowe Castle on the Wirral tomorrow. One of our favourite and most popular wedding venues that we do on the Wirral.
The bride is also getting ready at Leasowe castle before the wedding, so we have both of our cars going to pick the bride and her bridemaids up. Then we are taking them onto St Stephens church in Prenton.
As usual the cars arrived early at Leasowe castle. We introduced oursleves to the lady on the front desk and told her “no worries we are early”. For those who don’t know where this is its on the Wirral peninsula on Leasowe road Moreton.
The wedding service was 1pm and it’s about a 10/15 minute drive in a wedding car. As we got the wedding transport there for 12.30pm, we had 10 mins to have a chat about wedding car logitics to the church. We had already sorted this out before we left the garage its always best to double check which ways best to take the bridal party.
The Bride and her Bridesmaids looked lovely
Not long after we had confirmed the route we noticed a lot of movement in the foyer of Leasowe Casttle. It was the bridal party so we opened the front door and started helping them into the wedding cars. Then we helped the bride and what a stunning wedding dress she had on. The bridesmaids all had lovely matching dresses. Lets not forget the mother of the bride who had the traditional big wedding hat.
So both of us and the bridesmaids helped the bride into the Imperial Viscount Landaulette . It’s the perfect wedding car as she had a big wedding dress on. There’s plenty of space in the back so we didn’t have a problem. Dad jumps in and then we assist the bridesmaids and mum into the Daimler Limousine….
Off we go to the church
As we left on time we arrived on time at St Stephens church in Prenton Wirral which is on Prenton Lane. A few work colleagues etc where standing outside but the main bridal party had gone inside.
The groom and best man didn’t have to wait long, as a couple of photos later the brides party entered the church. At the same time the church bells started to ring. I speak about this a lot but the role of a wedding car driver a lot of the time is patience. We just wait and have a chat in the summer sun. Time flies when you’re having fun and before we knew it the church bells are going again. Not long after the happy couple appear from the church into the summer sun. The usual wedding photographs where taken as the wedding guests milled around chatting in between getting their photograph taken.
Chauffeur driven wedding cars to the reception
We know its only 10 mins or so back to Leasowe Castle and as with most early afternoon weddings, the bride and groom are having a wedding breakfast.
With the sun shining and the wedding photographer making the most of it which i don’t blame him. We still have plenty of time to get our wedding transport loaded up and onto the reception.
Leasowe looked stunning in the sun as we drove through the stone pillars on the entrance to the venue. A 100yds later we are parked next to a red carpet at the entrance to the hotel. As we pull up a member of staff comes out with a tray with 2 glasses of champagne for the bride and groom, and they needed it as its a warm day.
A couple more photos with the car and the photographer says he done with us. A quick word with the couple confirms this and we congratulate them on a fantastic wedding and wish them all the best for the future.
